I think it would be fun to be involved in making a film. How does one go about developing this opportunity? Film school?
There is a lot to learn, and you don't really have to go to film school. Today's cameras allow movies to be created. I've been playing with movies on and off over the years. I had some photo, and filming experience while in the military. I worked in a darkroom prior. I was a hobbyist photographer.

Nice videos. I was thinking more commercial, art films.
Thanks, primarily just a hobby for me, video since about 1969.
I was partially involved with some commercial projects with the U.S. Army, Department of Defense, and a few other government agencies, and a commercial company, but it was a very small involvement and not enjoyable for me. I also did a short advertisement for a small company and a small local band.
A lot of people say you don't have to go to film school but I feel I have to chime and say film school still really helped me, at least me. Sure I didn't learn much of anything new with cameras or microphones but they teach you the business, and they have connections, which is important too.
