I am moving to the Fredericksburg area to work at the Dahlgren Naval Base. I posted previously about which area was best to live in (Fredericksburg vs Waldorf), and decided that Fredericksburg would be a great fit. However, I cannot decide on a specific apartment complex in the area. I do not live in the state, so a visit will not be possible. Can anyone suggest complexes that are really nice? I am looking for a 1BR/1BA apartment (WITH a washer/dryer). Here are the ones that I was looking at (please let me know any information on these...and any others that you may know of): Malvern Lake, Kilburn Crossing, The Mark at Salem Station, Colonial Village at Greenbrier, The Residences at Belmont, and Aventine at Courthous Square. Thank you in advance! You all are always a great help!

I visited all those places. I think the Residences at Belmont are located off of courthouse rd. If that's the one then they are really nice. I just thought they wanted to much for the rent and there isn't much around that area. Brittany Commons is a nice community as well. And Kilburn Crossing is similar with less traffic that way. Kilburn is also a bit newer than the commons. I wouldn't live in any of the other places. However, you don't really have many options for nice apartment rentals.

We lived at Brittany Commons for 6 months back in 2003-04 while are home was being built. It is located off of Route 208 in Spotsylvania and did have a w/d. Had no problems and our 3 bedroom was pretty spacious.
