Hillsville Area (Galax, Stuart, Floyd: for sale by owner, real estate, rentals)

My family and I will be relocating from New York to the Hillsville area in the next month or so. Can anyone suggest a place to find listings for houses for rent in the area? I've looked at the local newspaper sites and gotten no where.

I've tried the newspapers for Galax, Mt. Airy (NC), Bland, Floyd, Stuart, and Wythville with very little luck. The Carroll News site has been down for ages and we've also tried calling them with no answer. I found the site By Owner Virginia - FSBO Virgina - Homes for Sale By Owner but both properties listed in the area were already occupied. I've also tried contacting several Hillsville area real estate agencies with no luck. The organization I will be working for said they will try to get some information for us, but I don't feel comfortable just waiting in hopes they will be able to help.
