So my husband is a police officer and will be doing the same there. We have 4 kids that are and will be homeschooled so schools aren't an issue. We are considering moving from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Virginia beach. I am looking at houses between $150,000 to $200,000 and of course want somewhere safe and affordable. We DON'T want the total small town thing but don't want to be in a place that is way over crowded. Maybe I am asking too much =D Any insight would be wonderful!!! Oh and if you are or know a homeschool mom that can give me some information on the homeschool regulations and groups that would be AWESOME! Thanks...

This is a good place to look for homeschool regs. http://www.hslda.org/Default.asp?bhcp=1
They are located in Purcellville VA; same folks that started Patrick Henry College.

Thanks, I use that sight a lot here and have checked it out for VA. It all seems pretty easy but I am getting the feeling that it isn't a real homeschool friendly area. I really hope I am wrong! Can you give me an idea of where I could find a 3+ bedroom 2+ bathroom home close to the beach, safe, and not to crowded around our price range? Thanks again!!!

Kloop-Thank you, that was exactly what I was looking for! Finding a homeschool group is very important since my 4 kids are all very social We are looking forward to the move. I was able to speak to a homeschool mom there and she was very reassuring as well!
