Hi I am looking for some guidance on the best places to live around the Chesapeake area. My husband has a job in Chesapeake for the next few years and we need to relocate from the UK. We have 3 children, 5,10 and 14 years old, love the water, beach and outdoor life. I am concerned about good schooling as they are currently in excellent local village schools and grammar schools. I have started some research into areas, but as I have nothing to go on it is impossible to narrow the search down, both for homes to rent (furnished) and good schools spanning their ages. I would ideally like the younger ones in the same school if possible. I can not find any information on schools for the 14 year old, so any help here would be appreciated. Thank you.

Congratulations on the job. You've posted in the general state forum and if you repost your question in the ""Hampton Roads" forum, you'll get information for Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Newport News, Norfolk etc".

Those residents will have a much better idea about your questions.

Good luck.

Just go up to the top of the page, back up to "Virginia", and click on "Hampton Roads". It should take you directly there.
