The Blue Ridge Parkway area of Carroll County

Does anyone have any info on costs of land along the Blue Ridge Pkwy, west of I77? We would love to find a little 1 to 2 acre spot looking out onto the NC side. Also, can anyone tell me about living in this county in general?
