I was recently given a summons for Reckless Driving 46.2.862 (90/70) to appear in Bristol city Traffic Court

I am an out of state driver and Bristol is quite far far away from where I live.It was on I81 (not in a highway saftery corridor)

Need some suggestions and help.

1.Irrespective whether it was correct or fair should I go ahead and plead guilty as I can not afford to go there?
2.What are the fines involved?
3.How expensive to hire a lawyer and would they be able to help even if I do not go there?

Do a search on attorney's in Bristol. I found one that handled my case in Wytheville. He charged $200 flat fee. I had to pay court charges $85 and have to take a safety school and senanother copy of my driving record in before the continued court date. My charge will be reduced to defective equipment, no points to share with my state or against my insurance. There are a couple firms that go all over the state. Good luck. The thought of paying up to $2500 in fines scared me. All in I may end up with $500. It would have cost me at least $200 to $250 to go to court w/o a lawyer (for lodging and gas).
