Haha, Alot of Virginians still sound like that

Oh yeh, ...."loaded fer bur".....that is saying "loaded for bear"....a metaphor for being drunk (fully loaded ) and a full rifle for bear hunting.

If you guys think the slangs are gone, let me take you home with me for Christmas....ill translate, lol.

In Arlington, VA (among young people) we refer geographically to "the north side" or "south side" of the county. "Im headin north side" or "im goin' south side."

Although, some may wish to think we are like West Virginia and don't belong to the rest of the commonwealth

Then there is also the "DMV" which another thread is dedicated toward what that actually means.

Southside to folks down Richmond way means the part of the Commonwealth below the James River.
