Relocating to Wallops Island. Does anyone know of a home for rent on the Beach close to Wallops Island. We would like to keep our drive time to 30 mins. or less. Thanks.

You might try homeaway.com -- it's for vacation rentals, but I looked at both realtor.com and trulia and found nothing. A know several people who have done long-term rentals through homeaway. You might also look for a realtor in the area to help you, since it's a fairly remote market? I'd try cross-posting on the Hampton Roads board and look at Maryland -- I'm not familiar with their page, but there might be and Eastern Shore/Beaches kind of grouping. Good luck!

Saw a few ads on craigslist. . Local weekly paper for the county is Eastern Shore Post but did not see anything for the Wallops area. But you should be able to find ads for realtors in there. I assume by beach you want to live on Chincoteague. I think a lot of rentals on the island are probably winter/ summer season. A lot of rentals are word of mouth or a sign on the property or local bulletin boards. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
