Default Cost of living in Vienna, VA for single person

I will potentially be moving to Vienna, VA for a job and was wondering what the cost of living is for a single person in the area. I will be renting. I have not negotiated salary yet so I would also like some advice on what range of salary would be good to have for a single person living there

Your question is too general. How old are you? What do you do? How many years of experience? College degree? Apartment? Townhouse? Single family home? Cost of living is variable based on your other expenses and your expecations as well.

What kind of consulting? What kind of company? Masters in what? Salary ranges are pretty wide depending on field. A 1 bedroom apt will run you anywhere from around 1,000-1800/month depending on what you're looking for. High rise with parking garage will be more than a garden apt with open parking. Where do you currently live? That'll determine how big a difference you should be looking at. There are calculators for cost of living in different areas. You'll have to do an online search to find one.

Falls Church is more affordable. But in both cases, costs of living are through the roof. Going out is more expensive than San Francisco. Groceries are high, rent is high, and traffic is terrible. Welcome!
