Hi there, I am a single 49yr old female wanting to relocate from Cambridge Ma to a warmer climate with beaches and a sense of community. I spent the majority of my life in Boulder & Denver Co (LOVE) & came to Boston for a job & lacking economy in Co. I loved the vibe of Boulder and am looking for something similar - I have lived in the islands, love the life, seriously thought of Costa Rica but it's too hard to move & live there unless you have $ to invest in opening a business or retire, which I don't. I would love some feedback about life in Virginia Beach, what kind of job opportunities exist ( have been in the hospitality / restaurant business my whole life, and most recently a personal assistant to a CEO of a health 7 wellness co for the past 2 years. I am spontaneous, LOVE the beach & water & feel I owe it to myself to continue my life somewhere that I love. Any help and advice would be most appreciated, looking forward to it. Have an awesome day ! Sandra

remember the closer you are to the beach the higher the cost and the insurance will be higher .If you are thinking of buying there insurance rates are high because of storms and weather and the house could be hard to maintain .I love the beach but have friends who live by there and every time there is a storm they want to get out .It will be more crowded during the high season and you will get spring breakers .With today's economy remember if you buy you may not get what you paid for it in the future and that is why my friends are stuck there . flooding hurricanes .Not to scare you as you can get that all over but be prepared and research research ,the internet can give you a lot of info on an area

Try Wilmington NC depending on what aspect of the vibe of Boulder you like...would prob be more like Boulder than VA beach...
