Help...I need help finding an apartment in Williamsburg, VA (Richmond: apartments, rentals)

Hi,

Hopefully someone can help. My husband and I have just moved to Williamsburg and are looking for an apartment but We are having no luck at all. Does anyone know of apartments or houses to rent under $950 per month? Is there a local paper which has apartment listings or a notice board in a food lion or coffee shop!!!We are staying in the travelodge so I am really keen to find somewhere before labor day!!!! Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried rentals.com? I don't think you will find a house in that price range. But I briefly clicked on the apartments/condos option, and saw that there were some apartments listed in that price range. Of course, you would have to call to check availability, and I'm not sure if that price range was for a one or two bedroom.

There are some brand new apartments located at the intersection of Lightfoot and Richmond Roads near Toano, which is only a few minutes from Williamsburg. I believe these were in the $800 range. Perhaps someone else from the area has more info on these. Good luck!

If you can't find what you're looking for in Williamsburg you might consider someplace in Newport News near Ft. Eustis. You'd only be 15 minutes from Williamsburg and you'd also be close to the shopping and restaurants on Jefferson around Patrick Henry Mall.
