Finally, we have a destionation!! After 9 1/2 months of waiting we now know that we will be relocating to to the Fredricksburg area. I was able to come down (from Ohio) and take a couple of day look at the area. I fell in love with the Lake of Woods. If any one could give me a heads up on the Orange school? My children would be going to Locust Grove Elem and Middle School. One in 2nd and one in 5th. The only thing that bothers me is that on the map it looks like it is about 12 - 15 miles from the development. Is that right? I am looking to get as much info as I can - I must admit that the VA state school website confuses me!
I think that my family would fit in there with all that is offered. Is there any other areas that might not be as expensive?. We are looking to spend between $200 - $250, but will be trying to rent for at least one year. Are there any other areas that would not be more than 45 minute commute from Fredricksburg that has everything that a young family might like to have? We love the outdoors.
We are in need of selling our home here before we can make the move but at least I get started. I am hoping that by Christmas we can move but with this market who knows.
Two of my children play on travel soccer leagues here - any idea who to contact in that area?
