Get a lawyer. I got made an example of by a judge in Virginia. 900$ fine and 3 months suspended. This was 6 years ago.

Very few counties will allow point reduction for driving courses anymore. Virginia is one of the toughest states for traffic violations.

Just get an attorney with traffic court experience and do what they tell you to do. Unless you have a serious traffic offense history, you'll likely come through without much trouble. Don't try to put one over on the court. If you do, chances are very good you'll lose and lose big.
