Hello everyone, We are moving from Powell, Ohio. I was looking into Ashburn and Leesburg. We have a 6yr old, 4yr old and another one on the way next month. We had a great family community in Ohio, tons of kids, great schools, great neighbors that we will miss. Trying out specific areas we should look into, that hopefully we can replicate. Also any names of pre k, and grammar schools would be very helpful. We are nervous about making the move and want to make sure we are choosing the right place. If there are any other towns besides Ashburn and Leesburg that we should look into, please let me know. I appreciate all your help.

Hello,

That area is in the Northern Virginia sub-forum. You'll get a lot more answers if you repost it. Also, your question is fairly vague. If you could generally tell where your job is located, the price range you'll be seeking, the type of housing (sfh, th, apt?), renting or buying, and how far you are willing to drive to commute.

Everything in Northern Virginia revolves are price range and commute to work. There's really no point in telling you that Lansdowne is the "perfect" area you are seeking, if you can't afford it. The same applies to schools -- if you can't afford that awesome school district.

Also, if you use the "search" in the Northern Virginia forum, there are a lot of threads about Ashburn and Leesburg. Read through some and you'll be able to ask more specific questions.

Best of luck!

Number one consideration should be living close to your job. Hope that's out around Dulles.
