Default Visiting Williamsburg with my dog

I'm going to be in Williamsburg from October 27 to November 3 and am bringing my 1.5 year old lab mix, Luna. The condo said they'd be happy to take her, so accomadation is not a problem.

So what are some dog friendly places in Williamsburg. I've already seen the Dog-freindly website info, but if anyone has any actual experience with any of the places, or just experience in general with having a dog in Williamsburg, let me know. I'm also on a bit of a budget, the timeshare week is a gift from my parents for my 26th birthday and although I got a pay raise this month "YAY" I still am a librarian in the Community College that pays the least in the state "not so YAY". On the other hand, this is my vacation, so I'm willing to spluge on a few things, I just want to pick the bset ones. Totally OT for the topic I need info for.

So,some restaurant options that will let me sit with Luna outside, and what should the temps be like in late October?

Some parks and trails (I'm thinking of bringing my bicycle too so good bike trails would also be nice)?

Any attractions that are pet friendly? Although I actually think I'm just going to stay in the condo a lot since I'll have my own space (moved back in with the parents last year to help with their bills and my own) and Nanowrimo starts on November 1. I would have 3 days to devote myself to it before going home... Having fun and unwinding is what vacations are for, right?

Cant help you much about pet friendly places in that area but I can tell you that you will not find a restaurant that will allow you to have your dog with you even sitting outside. Inside or outside it is still a food service area and the same health codes are in effect. So you will find the rule No dogs allowed except service dogs is the norn. Leave her at the condo and enjoy yourself

There are a few restaurants that do allow dogs in the outdoor dining areas in Williamsburg. Aromas, College Delly, Seasons Cafe. Bring your bike and ride the Capital to Capital Trail from Jamestown to Chickahominy Riverfront Park. If your dog will go on a kayak you can rent one for $4 at the park. The Trail is about 15 miles round trip. Maybe a bit too far for a dog ? There are Mountain bike trails at Freedom Park in James City County, New Quarter park and York River State Park in York County. All are suitable for hiking as well and within 20 minutes of Colonial Williamsburg. If you can afford Busch Gardens they have a kennel where your dog can stay for free. Hollow Scream is their Halloween themed event every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November. If your dog wants to socialize with other dogs go to Waller Mill Park They have a dog area there where dogs can play together. Walking trails and paddle boats too. You can walk all over Colonial Williamsburg with your dog as well as Jamestown and Yorktown. I will pool my dog owner friend and try to suggest more. It will probably be 50 degrees at night and 65-70 during the day. Hope you have a good time.
