You broke the law in such a mannner that you have to go to court. Why don't you show the judge that you recognize the severity of the situation and dress appropriately, i.e. suit and tie?

Court and funerals are always occasions for suits.

Nothing at all with wearing a suit and tie and the judge may even be impressed. The vast majority of people there don't wear the suit and tie abut some do. I've seen plenty of judges kick people out of their court for showing up in shorts, tank tops and the like.

It's a courtroom not a Wal-mart. Show some respect.

Not unless you are an attorney. Otherwise dress like you are going to a decent restaurant--slacks, shoes and a clean neat shirt. No need to overdo it.

I went to court for over 30 years. If he wears a suit and tie he will NOT be overdoing it. Attorneys and detectives wear suits and any number of defendants and witnesses do as well. And I absolutely hate that CD will not let us go back and correct mistakes after a short time. To the OP. I meant to say earlier that there is nothing WRONG with wearing a suit and tie.

Traffic court? Hum? Okay - not much of a court- but may as well show them some respect. If you carry yourself well in a suit wear one- If you are going to look like a bumpkin-- bet stick to a clean shirt and slacks..

You're in Toronto and you're giving advice about VA courts? FYI. You can go to jail just as fast in traffic court in VA as any other court.

You could dress ironically in an orange jumpsuit.
