I'm SO excited to see this movie! My great great grandfather moved from Franklin Co to Buchanan County VA in the early 1900's and was arrested several several times for running moonshine. It's so cool to see this come to life on the big screen!

Side note....that show Moonshiner's on discovery is pretty cool too

It is a good film, but then my brother already told me so when he saw it a few months ago and I usually take his word for it.

Tom Hardy is one of the most interesting actors around right now. Gary Oldman and Guy Pearce are always good, even though Pearce almost over acts at times in this film, yet manages to pull it off.

I am a big fan director John Hillcoat and (rock poet turned) writer Nick Cave previous collaboration, the Australian western The Proposition. Lawless is much more accessible movie than The Proposition though, the violence is still there but not as direct as The Proposition and teh pace is a bit more standard Hollywood fare.

It would have been cooler if they acctually had shot it around here instead of in Georgia.
