I'd like to show my boyfriend what the Shenandoah has to offer--he's from Portugal and it's his first time in the states...and I'm no MacGuyver camper extraordinaire, but I have been camping before, know how to build a fire, own a mess kit, tent, sleeping bags, etc....so...I want a site with gorgeous views, access to water/toilets, but secluded enough where I'm not hearing neighbor campers chomping on their Doritos and listening to Katy Perry on their smartphones. Any suggestions? Secret spots? advice?

My favorite spot for tent camping in the Shenandoah National Park. off Skyline Drive is Big Meadows at Luray, VA. It has beautiful views of the town, clean..As a former hiker I know in the mountains bears are plentiful.
