The white oak tree at Emanuel Episcopal Church on Route 250 in Greenwood, VA Albemarle County is one of the largest in Virginia and has been recognized as one of the most remarkable trees in the commonwealth, it is around 400 years old.

Berkeley Plantation in Charles City County, VA ( one of the first great estates in America, comprises about 1,000 acres (400 ha) on the banks of the James River on State Route 5 in Charles City County, Virginia. Berkeley Plantation was originally called Berkeley Hundred and named after the Berkeley Company of England. Benjamin Harrison IV built on the estate what is believed to be the oldest three-story brick mansion in Virginia and is the ancestral home to two Presidents of the United States: William Henry Harrison, his grandson, and Benjamin Harrison his great-great-grandson.[3] Among the many American "firsts" that occurred at Berkeley Plantation are:


Manassas National Battlefield Park in Prince William County, VA


Appomattox Court House Historical Park in Appomattox, VA (The village is famous as the site of the Battle of Appomattox Court House and containing the house of Wilmer McLean, where the surrender of the Confederate Army under Robert E. Lee to Union commander Ulysses S. Grant took place on Palm Sunday April 9, 1865, effectively ending the American Civil War.[6])

Agreed on the last post, but I think everything is covered just about. Very good selections! That picture of the Crozet railroad tunnel looks like something from Lord of the Rings! For Staunton, my hometown, you also have the Woodrow Wilson birthplace and Frontier Culture Museum. That wasn't the best picture of Staunton either. And my current town of Charlottesville, the UVA campus is a must see, especially Edgar Allan Poes room. On that note, the Poe museum in Richmond is a must see for literature lovers. And the VA Museum of Fine Arts is very good too if you're in Richmond.
