Hello... My family and I are thinking about movign to Lynchburg in March. We are in England now because my husband is military. WE have two young kids and are tryign to find out abotu the area and jobs. I am a student at liberty. Are there other colleges around as well? Is it hard to get a job at liberty? Can you tell me abotu rentals?

There are three other major colleges in the area, Lynchburg College, Randolph College, and Sweet Briar College. Renting is very cheap by US standards. A nice home can be rented for well under $1,000/mo depending on location. Location is very important as Lynchburg has good and not so good areas.
Liberty hires many students for on campus jobs. Pay is not much as in maybe $6-$8 an hour. There are a good number of stores and restaurants nearby where many students work. Pay tends to be low. The local paper, The News Advance, has online rental listings.
