Smile Try Roanoke!

Yeah Roaoke for sure is a very affordable place to raise a family. I fell in love with that house myself actually I drove by it today and it looks just as nice as the picture :-). D.C. is way too busy and expensive for my tastes. I would also recommend Roanoke as a nice alternative to D.C. . Jobs may not pay as much as D.C. but the quality of life here and less expensive cost of living makes up for it. Plus... I love being surronded by the mountains!!! (I moved here from Richmond Va. mostly flat)

krysta814 is on a distinguished road
Thanks again. You're info has helped me in my research. Now if I could only talk my DH into the possibility of not having to live that close to a city. He wants the girls to be close to alot of culture enriched areas. But I myself, like you, would love to live in a much more peaceful safe area. And I LOVE the idea of seeing mountains!!

But again, I guess it all depends on where he gets a response to the job search. unfortunately, mostly being a stay at home mom, I'm pretty much the follower here.
