I will be visiting someone at the FBI Academy in Quantico Virginia. Does anyone know the closest hotels in the area?

You could google the area and find lots of hotels.....

The surrounding area isn't that nice. I would suggest looking around the Potomac Mills area in Woodbridge. They have a nice Courtyard Marriot and some other nice hotels. 22192 is the area code.

We live on the base; however were faced with a similar issue upon moving to the area. Consider a short term lease on one of the properties downtown Quantico. They are quite reasonable and the proximity (no traffic) to training is fantastic. Given the per diem and housing allowance, you will easily come out well ahead. Another option is the Crossroads Inn on base (but, honestly, it is geared toward economy rather than comfort.) Last option, if you have a travel camper or are considering purchasing one in the near future the campground near the academy on base is reasonable...and again you pocket the housing allowance and per diem...In hind site, we rented a Condo in Woodbridge (Bellmont Bay area) and loved living on the Potomac; but HATED the traffic and commute.
