Default moving to VA laws of atvs?

also in addition to my previous post, i have an atv and was wondering if there are places to ride and what the laws are on them, and your vehicles as far as lowering, or raising pickups and cars

We have been researching this. According to what I have found for VA, you must wear a helmet and no riding doubles. The helmet law is no biggie. However, our boys ages 5 and 8 ride behind my husband and I when we go riding on the add-on seat. Guess this is illegal? The seat is designed with seat belts specifically for them...going to research it further. Also, my tall 12 yr old rides her 230 and according to VA law 12 yr olds and younger must ride a 70cc. Her knees would be to her ears though! How safe is that?! She would resemble a clown. I wonder how much these laws are abided by?

Thanks! It looks like we will be selling our atvs...there is no way I would let my 5 yr old and 8 yr old ride on their own. Bummer, we love riding too. Oh well.
