My wife and I went kayaking on the Occoquan Reservoir a couple of days ago. It's relatively close to where we live, and a definite favorite spot for us. Here are a few pictures of the water and shoreline, as well as a blue heron taking flight.

I took a hike to Strickler Knob/Massanutten Mtn in the GW Natl Forest and got these pics. Hope you like...fall foliage is clearly underway.

That skyline shot of Richmond is nice!

The MWV building looks really nice next to the Fed Reserve building but I wish it were a little bit taller.. Still a really nice building (especially at night when the perimeter of the roof is illuminated)

Love the third shot with the sunlight silhouetting the Spanish Moss. I've always enjoyed my hikes through there.

Thanks! Yeah, First Landing can be very beautiful. It's a wonderful place to go for some peace and quiet for an hour or two.
