Looked all over for previous thread on the Virginia governor restoring convicted felons their voting records but couldn't find it.

The Loudon county prosecutor is suing the governor to release the names of those who have they rights restored. He is stating he needs to add these reformed citizens into the jury pool among other things.

http://wtop.com/loudoun-county/2016/...-felons-names/

Regardless which way you believe on the restoration of some rights while having a felony, why can't the governor release these names of 200,000 felons? I thought it was public record and had no interest in looking up the names but the list of names is not being released; even to local law enforcement. How is this possible?

Will the felons be granted all their constitutional rights and if so, this can't be done if their names are public accessible as being restored.

Will these 200,000 felons just get a publically funded mailer that states they can now vote? How are they even being notified?

As felons tend to be Democrats, McAuliffe and Kaine sought to restore voting rights only. Not the right to purchase a firearm.
Thankfully the courts shut it down.

There is a substantial difference between the right to vote versus the right to own a weapon to say the least. I think the Supreme Court was wrong to throw out the act. You can't harm anyone with a vote. Yes, I am voting democrat this election.

Some rights are better than others? You can't harm anyone with a vote? Uh, hello!

Tell that to the people in Venezuela that are fighting over half empty grocery shelves. Their votes got them into that mess.
