If you check this link Williamsburg & James City Co.Virginia Apartment Rental | Moving Truck Rentals at Apartments.com You can then check rental homes or condos in The Williamsburg/ James City County area There was a brand new condo in Braemar Creek and one in Westgate for $1200 or less. Both are very nice areas. Westgate will have a little more traffic noise than Braemar Creek due to it's location right off of rt 60 Richmond Rd. Braemar is surrounded by Williamsburg National Golf Course approx 2 miles from Monticello marketplace a shopping center with Target, Ukrops Grocery, Restaurants etc.

A more specific question is how are the neurologists? I do need a specialist in neurology and one of the concerns I have is finding a good neurologist, but that is not my only concern. It's just high on the list of things I need to know.

This is the worst healthcare that we have ever received! We have lived in two other states and one other country and have never received the type of care in those places like we have here. It should almost be illegal for anyone to practice in Williamsburg. From the worst OBGYN's that are around and one of the worst hospitals that I have ever entered the doors of, this is not the place for good medical care. I'm not trying to be negative, but I have kids that sees a pediatrican and the group is awful. Our dermatologist removed a mole from my husband and botched the job. The delivery of our 2nd child went wrong and the hospital nurses were awful!!! My first child was born at a private hospital and this may be why my expectations were different, but I do not believe that during a botched delivery that the doctor should be joking with the staff and having a good time! My own personal opinion, but if you move to the area, go to Richmond to get any treatment!!!

Williamsburg crime is definetly present, I just think that the system does a good job covering it up for the tourists and commericalization. I work at a hotel that is about 40 years old, and has NEVER been robbed until early this year being our first time. The murder at the travelodge, the one on Barlow road, the one in new kent co. , people on the run just walking around town because the williamsburg police are so slack that no one worries about too much of anything aside from the oocasional speeding ticket, etc. Williamsburg is definitly getting worse than it has ever been, with robbery and murder and such. Still nowhere as bad as New York - but I would give that another 5 to 10 years...

Sentara Williamsburg - DO NOT ENTER!!!!
I am a native of williamsburg, lived here me and my family for over 40 years.
Sentara Williamsburg is just a new version of Williamsburg Community Hospital (the hospital I was born in, along with all other family members).
My family used to have a saying that this hospital was only good for babies and bandaids. The truth is, it is only good for healthy pregnant women that have very little chance of anything going wrong. Many many of our family members have died at this facility (both the new location and the old one) for reasons that we feel could have been prevented and resolved. Some of our family members they would not even attempt to try!!!! We finally got the picture when we were tired of all our family dying in this rotten place they like to call a hospital!! We now go to Riverside for anything and everything. Now - Sentara williamsburg is only good for bandaids because their maternity ward is crappy now too. I can recommend Jones & jenkins for OBGYN - me and my whole family and all friends use them trustfully for all our women care & pregnancies. They are experts and are very personal and trustworthy! I wouldn't even go to this hospital if it were the last one on earth - don't become a victim, pick another hospital. (Riverside / MCV, ect).

If you go on the Dept of Health and Human Services website it will allow you to compare patient surveys from any hospitals in the US. When looking at both Riverside and Sentara I have to say they both don't score very well with past patients.
