Default Possibly relocating to Hampton Area

Hello everyone. My husband has been offered a job in the Hampton area. Before we make a final decision I need to find out about the schools in the area. We have 3 children and would like to be in a safe quiet neighborhood. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. We will be looking to rent a house preferably a 3 or 4 bedroom that is not to overly priced.

Thank you all again for any information.

I forgot to mention that we also have 2 large dogs and 1 extra large dog. Would also like to be in a countryish neighborhood. Kind of tired of living the city life.

I guess the $64,000 question is how much you can spend. This area is mostly suburban with a little semi-urban and semi-country with rural areas pretty far out. Where you live is greatly dependent upon where you work b/c of transportation issues (bridges and tunnels that are congested).

Well, I would 1100 a month in rent would be a topper. My husband would be working in Hampton. As far as commute, we are moving from Detroit, so any commute would be ok. Just as long as its not an hour away.
We would just like to be in a good neighborhood where I don't have to worry about someone trying to break in my house while I am here with my kids.

A couple of neighborhoods i would look at are Michael's Woods and Bellegrade. Safest and cleanest areas of Hampton. $1100 a month will be tough not impossible but tough.

This is actually a really good deal.

Thank you very much for the information and the link on the house. My husband has decided to take the position. So we will be moving to Hampton within the next few months.

We have decided that one of our pets will not be traveling with us due to illness. We are still looking for a house to rent in Hampton. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I would try militarybyowner.com

People list rentals on that site as well as homes for sale.
