i am looking into relocation into several historic cities...i'd like to be around a hot springs. somewhere with amenities, affordable, a music scene and mountains and water..somewhere also preferably where liberal and spiritual people would be accepted and not too freezing I'd love to be able to get to the coast in a few hrs.

I'd appreciate any suggestions..i work from home so i can move anywhere..right now i live in a medium sized city however everything you need is there and i love it..i just dont like the expense and lack of water

thanks

Check out historic Lexington, VA. or Staunton, VA both are within a hour of the Warm Springs Bath house. The water is so healing. Great music scene, always something going on. Both are within a hour give or take of Lake Moomaw, Lake Anna & Smith Mountain Lake. They both have colleges located there so there is quite a lot of plays, museums and activities on a constant basis. Both also have music events all year round. Good luck

What kind of music scene are you looking for?

Radford, VA. It has the New River, but no thermal springs that I am aware of.
Second, Poquoson7's suggestion of Floyd.

Bath County has springs & bath houses, but it is remote. Not as remote as Highland, but it's still remote. And property is not inexpensive.

If you scroll down, this webpage lists the thermal springs in Virginia.
