My plan is to take my 4 bikes, drive to Abingdon, do the bike trail to Damascus, park the bikes at Damascus, take a cab to Abingdon, drive back to Damascus, pick up the bikes and stay overnight or drive home!

Are there places where we can park the bikes for few hours safely in trail end in Damascus ??

Are cabs available at the trail end in Damascus ??

There are a number of shuttle companies operating out of Damascus with 12 passenger vans with bike trailers. A more common option with visitors would be to drive directly to Damascus and have your crew and the bikes shuttled to Abingdon trail-head (or Whitetop Station trail-head) and then bike back to Damascus.

Alternatively, the most popular leg is to take a shuttle to Whitetop Station and bike back to Damascus since that route is mostly all downgrade or at worst flat. Coming from Abingdon it is all downgrade to Alvarado Station but from Alvarado to Damascus the trail is a mixture up and down grades and there is a significant elevation increase between Alvarado and Damascus.

You can do a google search for shuttle services: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...k1.904y-DnXOvU

They have established a page that seems to feature most, if not all, the shuttle companies: Virginia Creeper Trail Bike Rental and Shuttle Service Guide

For what it's worth the first, original shuttle was Blue Blaze established shortly after the trail was opened. That is just a factoid, not intended as an endorsement. Several of the others have been there almost as long.

well, I see most companies provide shuttle service with bike rental and it turns out to be almost $100 for 4 persons. I am trying to be saavy and taking my own bikes. Just need a parking spot after the trial ride.
