Default Teacher moving from NYC

After 15 years in NYC I and my family have to move. I'm about to make a decision about the place. I'm P.E teacher and Virginia offers me jobs in Alexandria City, Henrico County, Westmoreland County.
Can anybody give me any idea about schools in this areas?
I have family so I will be looking for a place to live and send my 13 years old son to school. I will be lookin for good schools and peacefull familly oriented area to settle. ( not so expensive )
Thank you very much in advance!

Default Welcome!

From the three places you suggested, I would choose Henrico County. I know the schools there are among the best in the state and its a very family oriented type place. Alexandria is a nice place to settle but I doubt if it would be as family oriented and it is much more expensive. I know nothing about Westmoreland County it sounds rather rural. Good Luck!

VA Yankee will become famous soon enough
I would choose Henrico, nice suburban enviroment and you can afford to live. Alexandria is nice but very expensive and Westmoreland is rather rural. Which school in Henrico did they offer? Henrico's schools in the west are great with Short Pump, Byrd, Hungry Creek, Tuckahoe all being excellant middle schools.
