Default Massanutten questions

We are heading down to Nassanutten for a get away next week and would love to visit some quaint towns to stroll thru. We also are looking for relocation purposes, so any info on schools in the area would help.

Dr.Jim is on a distinguished road
Hmmm......Luray is quite nice, about 20 minutes north, up 340. Nice shops, local eateries...etc.
Also, Staunton is nice as well....south on 81 for about 25 minutes. Lots of shops, historic downtown...etc.
Could take a longer trip east on 33, over the mountains into Charlottesville as well...maybe 45 minutes from Massen, but a beautiful drive! Cville has tons to see and is historic as well.

Both the drive to Luray and Cville are really scenic with great mountain views, and small rural towns to pass through.

Relocation? Hmmm....just got a place outside Elkton myself, in the mountains.
Hburg - you will see. Judge for yourself. Too much sprawl and fast food/big box for me.
Elkton is really small, not much there, but beautiful scenery all around! And skyline drive/shenandoah natl park to hike in....lovely.
Staunton as well. Great town!
Waynesboro is nice too.
Luray is getting a bit pricey,....

Just go driving! 33 goes east/west and 340 goes north/south. Or take 81 for xpressway driving north/south if needed.
Personally,....taking 33 to 340 and going north all the way up to Front Royal is a really, really great drive. Lots of towns, scenery,...etc..etc....very relaxing.

Anyone else?
