Default Weather on the Delmarva Pennisula?

I'm moving there, probably in the Onancock/Exmore area and was wondering what the weather was like during the summer or year round. Is there any breeze off the water? And is there much flooding in the area?

Thanks

It's hard to get info about the Eastern Shore these days but I did find a nice web site and a very friendly "hostess" named Ann Devletian who may be able to answer your questions.

Eastern Shore of Virginia towns and communities

Good luck!

When you get there, post us please

Default Hot and humid

summer here is hot and humid.....just today was in the 80's normally that would be nice but it was sticky and humid so it felt like upper 90's. you get these hot spells off and on in the summer of the mid tp upper 90's with high humidity and it will fell like 99-112 those are the stay inside and do nothing days!! too hot for the darn beach even. fall can be warm in the begining early october.... heck even a few thanksgivings have been warm, it realy varies year to year. Lately the south has been dry and here has been no different, we are looking at a -3.33 inches below normal so far this year. we are hopeing on a tropical storm.... last summer was REALLY DRY!!

winter havent seen much snow .....been 4 years since we had enough to send the kids out to play in ....but pretty cold bitterness about it in jan. feb. but lately just been spells of really cold weather, winters have been fairly mild lately 30-40's but we do get some blowing and thats what makes it bad when its in the 20's

hate the mosquitos and ticks heck I have picked some off me in the winter!! weather lately just to wrap this up lol has been varying wildly lately

Default sorry had to laugh

your arent going to find one in a 50 or more mile radius of the ESVA,

NO DECENT normal shopping here on the shore we lost our Kmart (was only open for about 8-9 yrs) we lost that 6 yrs ago and another roses (aka bigger dollar store) came in its place. we have a ace hardware, couple fast food resturants, two food lions, some gas stations, a peebles department store (not very big), rite aid pharmacy and a couple dollar generals (exmore one is horrible!!!) (well thats northampton county)

accomack county has some more shopping but not much different in the line of clothing stores, grocery, dollar stores etc.

if you want to find a wii go online, that is were I do most of my shopping. we went to va beach a few weeks ago and we were in toys r us and they said they doubt they even get any more wiis for a while. He said good luck getting one, which I thought was weird, thought it had calmed down since christmas and you shouldnt have a hard time getting one. but guess I was wrong. oh and if you live further north say exmore or further north then your better off to travel to pocomoke (walmart) or salsbury maryland further north (more shopping) but its a ride most people dont seem to mind :P I live at the southern end of northampton and we go to va beach at least once a month since my mother inlaw moved there. and my saying is "if you cant find it in va beach then you have problems" LOL every kind of food, grocery store, tons of shopping, that doesnt even count the malls!!

oh and about the breeze off the water it helps at times, but most of the time in the summer it is a hot breeze, but like I said it helps lol so far its been pretty nice this summer, not so desert dry like last year
