Five good and bad things about Williamsburg?
In preparation for our upcoming move, I'm trying to get an idea of the five best things about Williamsburg and the surrounding area and the five biggest concerns. If you live in or around Williamsburg, please post your list below.

with all the posts you've got haven't you already answered this? Also, aren't you moving to stonehose? not exactly williamsburg - you might repost using JCC in title - the upper end of the county has a different feel to it. A good thing is you are near a convenience center, I-64, and can always get on the course. You are 15-20 min from good restaurants, decide if that is good or bad. 30 min to busch gardens.
nothing in the area is far. as I've told you before, stonehouse should be fine.

You won't regret moving to Williamsburg. Get involved in the community go to your Home owner Association meeting in Stonehouse be active in it you will meet most of your new neighbors that way.
I'm sure our five best things are different than your but here they are:
Quality of Public Schools in James City County, Recreation, Proximity to Beaches, Tidewater, Richmond, Mountains, Friendly Neighbors ( Ours had a Welcome to the neighborhood barbecue the weekend we moved in ), History. Quality of life, Small town feel.
Bad Things: None that can't be overcome.
Welcome to Williamsburg.

Mr Williamsburg, thanks for your comments. I'm looking forward to moving to Williamsburg.
BTW, other than Lowes and Home Depot, where is a good place to purchase major appliances and a whole house generator?

Those would be my top suggestions. You might try Costco or Sams Club online for Generators they can ship to your home.
