Smile List of local newspapers?
We are planning on moving to VA soon (we visited and fell in love with the area). I've been trying to find a list of local newspapers to start getting information on housing, jobs, etc. We are interested in the Lee county, Wise county, and Scott county areas. Anyone know how I can go about getting this information. Our families have lived for generations in Maryland so we have never relocated past the next town before and this is new to us and a little scary I might add. Any advice would be appreciated!

You can go on the Virginia Press Association website and look around.

There is a search feature. I put in "Lee County" and it came up with articles in newspapers about Lee County, but I could see from the website addresses that one could figure out which newspapers covered that area. Perhaps this website has a directory too, but I could not find it.

There is also a Newspaper Association of America. You can search on its website. Sometimes doing a Google search of the County in quotes along with the word newspaper will turn up the local paper.
