I am planning to move to stafford VA. I have two elementary school age kids and want to know which elementary school I should send them and also which residential subdivision is a good place to live. I am planning to buy a house.

Stafford County is very large--did you want to be in the northern part or the southern part?
The southern end is closest to Fredericksburg and convenient to shopping and the city itself.
North Stafford is a goodly distance from Fredericksburg--they each have their own personalities!
Where will you be working? If it's in DC, then N. Staf. is probably the best, as it will cut about 1/2 hour off a commute. If you're working in the immediate area, I'd stick with S. Staf....
Almost all of the elementary schools are good, with great teachers....actually, Stafford has some of the better schools for all ages.
