settled elsewhere
I eventually settled elsewhere and did not make the move to VA afterall. This was totally job-related and driven by the economy. Now I'm happily employed and my wife continues in her existing job (in Sausalito); so we're content.
I enjoyed seeing VA and discovering the surrounding area a little bit, my horizon's are expanded.
I still have vivid memories of the town's I visited and the drives I took and the houses I looked at.
