Default Land near a city

I'm considering moving to VA and I'm looking to find a property with at least 10 acres that is within 20 minutes of a city. Can anyone advise where this would be possible in the state? Thank you.

Roanoke: Try Franklin Co., Bedford Co., Roanoke Co., Botetourt Co. all of these counties have plenty of land and depending on which part of the county can be within 20-30 min to the city of Roanoke if not less.

Lynchburg: Try Appomattox Co., Campbell Co., Bedford City. I am not really familiar with these areas but this is my guess

Richmond: Try Goochland Co., Hanover Co., Henrico Co., Charles City Co., New Kent Co., Chestefield Co. all of these counties also have plenty of land most can access the city of Richmond in that time frame depending on which part of the county you choose. Goochland & Charles City are a little further out. I Will note that the price of land will be slightly higher in the Richmond area vs. the Roanoke area.

I also point out these areas in the state because I have lived in these areas. I dont know a whole lot about the eastern or northern part of the state.
