I am going to pass by Fredericksburg and I was wondering what are the must-see museums/attractions there?

I hope you are into the Civil War. Battle of Fredericksburg is right in town. Just west, off of Plank Road, rt.3, is the Battle of the Wilderness. Downtown Fredericksburg has a nice trolley ride, or just walk around, visit the tourist center and get a map of spots to see. University of Mary Washington is right there, a pretty small campus. Here's a link to the tourist info for Fredericksburg, Fredericksburg Virginia - Things To Do. Also, and this is just me, stay far away from Central Park, no, it's not a bad area, but it's a huge shopping area on steroids that has anything and everything you can imagine. I always get lost in there! Go downtown for small local restaurants. Oh, and if you want good ice cream, check out Carl's Ice Cream, an old fashion custard stand on Princess Anne street.

Won't let me rep choff5 again but I agree, stay away from Central Park - what a ZOO!!! Otherwise, the downtown area is fine for just wandering if you want to work off some "sitting on your butt in the car" energy - various shops and restaurants.
