Hmmm.....wheres the OP.....
Also,..someone mentioned Abingdon and Bristol,..........I am not extremely familiar with them at all,....nice mountains and such,...but is there really any money there? In terms of the type of town that would support a photographer?

What about Warrenton, Orange, or Gordonsville? I almost said Culpeper, but I'm not sure if a high-end photo studio would go over well there.

Oookay.... because that makes ALL the difference in the world
I admitted that I couldn't speak for other areas, but laid out the positive aspects of mine. But apparently you know all about my home, having never been here.

Charlottesville could be a good choice, if you want small town, with historic and mt view. It's a college town area. The problem would be cost of living or housing tho. I would imagine the increase in cost of living from Alabama to Charlottesville might be large. If you check out Fluvanna or Louisa might be close enough and cheaper. The Chesterfield area or Hanover could also be good. Lots of fringe rural and mostly residential w/ schools and families. Cost of living and quality of area are good.

Charlottesville for working. More upscale living with property is North of 64 (up Baracks Rd) or East to Gordonsville. South of 64 is rural, larger tracts of land for lower prices, much more privacy, mixed scales. Closer to Charlottesville the better the amenities.
