Default Architecture job market in VA?

Hello,
My husband and I currently live in Boston and we are both architects. We have only been here about 2 years but we really don't like the area that much and we don't want to stay here that much longer. We've been talking about relocating to VA to be closer to family but we are hesitant to leave our current jobs right now with the economy the way it is. Can anyone tell me what the job market is like for architects right now in VA? We both have 2-3 years experience and are not yet licensed. Preferably we'd rather be in the Richmond area with the lower cost of living, less commuting, smaller town feel, but NoVA would be our second choice if only for a better chance at jobs. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm not an architect but am familiar with a architect firm here in Old Town, Alexandria. They are having a hard time apparently because they've put a hold on work I'm doing for them until they get over some financial difficulties. I'm sure this is happening everywhere these days.
