I think you probably need to look at another state.

Yea maybe one state over (Kentucky) or two states down (South Carolina).

Very doable in Buena Vista, Covington, Clifton Forge, Alleghany County, Natural Bridge & believe it or not you can find rentals in that price range in Lexington. Most jobs are either in health care, tourist attractions, or the many colleges and universities in the area.

Even though it's not a small town, Richmond would not be a bad choice. There should be jobs available, and you can find a 2br apartment in the $700 range.

Roanoke is a small town in Southwest Va. We have mountains, good people, and a pretty decent cost of living. Far less than Nova, Williamsburg, and Richmond. And you could definatly get a 2 bedroom for $700 or even a lot less than that actually. The job market isnt the best but there are jobs out there. Richmond is nice it costs a little more and is right much larger but the job market may be a little bit better. I would suggest finding a job anywhere before moving there. I have lived in Richmond my whole life and now call Roanoke home (for two years now) I would recommend living in either place! good luck in your search.
