Default VA livin' vs. MD livin'

Hi everyone!

Looking for where to live- as far as people who commute to either DC, MD, or VA for work, (within about 45 min. or so of D.C. I guess)

If you had to sum it up, what's your opinion of what the livin' is like to in Virginia vs. in Maryland? Just so someone who's trying to decide where to live can get a good general idea.

The places I've gotten for suggestions so far are Arlington or Alexandria VA, and Rockville, Silver Spring or Bethesda, MD. Even got a suggestion for Frederick, MD.

Would appreciate quick run-downs of similarities/differences or anything else you got!

Thank you.

I suggest you just read all the threads written on the various locations rather than try to get them all summed up here.

They are both sort of the same.

Northern Virginia is just like Maryland.

Virginia is pretty much a bunch of incompetent morons. However, Maryland is a bunch of morons who or incompetent.

I'm from PG and lived in various parts of Baltimore for school and for work. Don't get it twisted, Baltimore is way more dangerous than PG could ever dream to be. Just start off anywhere near the edge of the inner harbor and walk 4 blocks in any direction.

Since I grew up in Maryland I would say Maryland hands down. To be honest though, they are pretty much the same. Some places are good some are bad. This is true on both sides of the bridge. I would like to second that notion that P.G. crime wise is not as bad as B-more. However Baltimore is a cool city. So come on down and take a look for yourself. You shouldn't really go wrong with either state.
