Default Franklin, Patrick, or Henry Counties?

We're considering a relocation to Virginia. It seems northern VA is too pricey for us, and I've researched housing in the above mentioned counties that seem more reasonable (under $150K)

My husband works for a Time Warner Cable, and would like to travel 30 mins or so to/from the office.

We are a conservative, Christian family, we homeschool and would really like to live in a rural setting with a few acres to roam. My husband enjoys hunting and fishing, and in an ideal situation, we would love property bordering state lands.

Are there any towns in/near the counties I mentioned that we should look at over another? Franklin seems to have a higher homeschooling community, and also be more conservative, is this a correct assessment?

Which towns in Franklin would better suit us? Is there even a Time Warner Cable office in that part of Virginia? When dh does a job search, he can't do it by county, and there are pages and pages listed for Virginia...so specific town/city names would be very, very helpful! tia

We live in Maine, and visited Williamsburg last year and fell in love...and well, dh is tired of the cold, wet, Maine weather...hence the move...but as you can see, it will be hard to go house shopping from so far away!

Thank you for any and all helpful advice you can provide!

hmmmm...I found a "payment center" in Danville, but not much nice is being said here about Danville. However, it is very difficult to figure out just where twc is located! dh would need to be within 30 minutes of an office I would think.
I can only seem to find listings for twc in the northern part of the state...anyone from the southern part know if twc is there?
