Default Moving to Williamsburg

I am considering taking a job in Williamsburg (moving from Houston) but would like some pointers about life in the area. I am very familiar with northern VA but know little about the Williamsburg area. Specific things are medical facilities (my wife would be looking for a job there), shopping, cultural activities, restaurants, etc.
Is the local population comprised of people from areas outside VA or are most people locals?
Thanks.

Default About Williamsburg

You'll find this an extremely friendly town, but it's growing quickly and tourists are here in the summer. There is a new hospital (2nd one) just built here and it's huge, so depending on what your wife does.... There's also more hospitals within 30 minutes drive or so. Tons of restaurants and lots of shopping facilities too.

I'd say half of the population is old money and half are retirees who come here from up north. Most of the town is very friendly because people have nothing to fight about! I've enjoyed living here for the last 5 years.
