I stopped by their visitor center last summer passing through. Its a beautiful area with very friendly people. Old Dominion Universtiy is planning a campus in the area, so the locals are expecting more growth. Its about an hour from Montgomery County, which has two state colleges and where I plan to relocate this summer. Last year apartments were renting between 600 and 850.
I think its a great area and my little visit influenced my decision to head that way with my son. I also know theres a Super Wal-mart and a campground with indoor putt-putt, it that swings ya.
