I've never been to Richmond or D.C. Been around both of them, but never in them.

Growing up in Virginia has great benefits! Our school went to Natural Bridge and Jamestown on field trips. My kids don't have any where near as interesting field trips here in PA as I did as a kid in Virginia.

Right off I can't think of anywhere in Virginia I have not been...... I guess being in tourism I always wondered why people will travel all over the U.S. but rarely visit their own state.

Never been to Bristol or any areas sw past Blacksburg. I have been everywhere else though. The ironic thing is I had never been to Roanoke (or given it much thought) before my company opened their store here and I decided to move here. hehe

Okay, another place, I don't think I've been to Blacksburg (and don't know where it is) - I've been to Roanoke though, had a weekend work thing that they paid for, I didn't get to see much of it though.

Blacksburg is just west (and slightly south) of Roanoke...
The two cities are only about 25 miles apart from city center to city center but there really is no main direct artery between the two so it takes just under an hour to travel between each city.

I've never been to Williamsburg. Also never been to Monticello or Natural Bridge. Weird since I grew up within 45 minutes of the latter two. Oh, and have never ventured past Wytheville. Actually never been out of the car past Roanoke.

I guess I'm a Chincoteague vote too. But I'll admit I didn't make it to Luray until I was in my mid-30s!

I'll put in a plug here for the D-Day Memorial in Bedford. Visited there this past fall on the way back from Blacksburg. Really humbling memorial... make sure you go in the warmer months so that the water is running... you'll understand why when you go...

Yeah, the D-Day Memorial is great. As onevthoki mentioned, it is quite humbling...

It really is a world-class memorial, might I add. Something you would expect on the national mall in DC
