Need some help
I hope someone here will be able to help!
I am an early 20's male moving to DC for a job at a law firm right outside the city. My budget is around 1800-2000 (including parking and utilities). I am looking for a high-rise with a 24 hour conceirge and safety. I do not mean an old persons neighborhood, bur somewhere where I can walk around and not have to watch over my shoulder constantly. I am open to any area within 10 miles of DC so I will take any recommendations. My hours will be long so I need somewhere where I can feel comfortable, do work at home, work out, and have a good time. I am into night life, however, it is lower on my priority list then good eats and sleeps. If anyone can help, give me some areas and apartment names I would be greateful.

Things would very much depend on where 'just outside the city' you'll be working. Bethesda would be one thing, Arlington quite another. There are various nightlife centers, and at your price range, everything will be safe, so making sure you have a reasonable commute while still being able to get out for some entertainment will depend on where the office will be...

I would suggest looking into the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor. There are many high-rise apartment complex and condos there. It's a great place for young, single professionals. Check out Craig's List or the Washington Post for people renting out condo units. Those tend to have the features you are looking for and a one-bedroom should be within your budget. Good luck.

I don't know how the commuting would be if you drove, but if you used the subway, you'll be closer to your job if you live in Arlington. They are both nice places to live with lots of restaurants, bars and shopping. When I mentioned the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, I was referring to anything on or around Wilson Blvd in Arlington.

I concur with Rosslyn. Lots to do and safe. You would have a reverse commute to Tysons (no metro at Tysons yet).
You could also look at Reston-there is a "town center" there, although I don't think it's quite as hip as Rosslyn/ Ballston.

I forgot I used to get to Tysons by catching a bus at West Falls Church. Regardless, you'll still have easy access to work if you drive from this area in Arlington.
