My wife and I are retired and interested in the Williamburg Virginia area, specifically Wyndam Plantation. We like the architecture and it's location to Historical Williamburg. We have heard about issue with water around the grounds, mold in crawl spaces, and some major structural issues in one unit.
If anyone has information or comments we would appreciate your input. Also, if you have a favorite place you like that works for retiries on a limited income, please give us some advise.

I haven't heard of any issues that aren't found in other homes in the area. As with any home purchase get a good home inspector/ inspection. Wyndham is one of the best options as far as price $300k or less, no maintenance, proximity to colonial williamsburg and quality of construction. There are a few other options but all will be further away. I would be happy to recommend a few communities if you give an idea of what you are looking for and how far from Colonial Williamsburg you will consider.
