Default Potomac Club

Hi all. Any opinions about Potomac Club in Woodbridge VA?

We may be buying a Pulte townhouse there and would appreciate your opinions.

Default Perhaps I was a little too restrictive?

How about your opinions about Woodbridge in general?

Potomac Club is a gated community located off US-1 between Neabsco Mills Road and Opitz Blvd.

I've done the commute to work in Lorton and it's not too bad. My wife will be home during the day for now but I can drop her off at the Springfield Metro when she goes back to work.

Safety in the area?
Property and personal crime?
Schools? I think it's Marumsco Hills ES, Rippon MS & Freedom HS.

Thanks much

potomac club is going to be really nice , the hoa fees are 185 per month but it is a gated community, with a VERY nice looking community center thats for residents only....pulte has the best floor plans, they have a tyler and a wesly model that have the 3 level bumpouts with 2 car garage it just feels like a single family home and not a town house...also there is a large commerical piece of land next to potomac club that is going to have a harris teeter, macys, footlocker, and several other retail stores along with restuarants and office space, overall its going to be a great place to live...the location is PERFECT.

Default Thanks very much Kenny

We're looking forward to the new place. I think the ~2 years of construction activity will be all worthwhile in the end.

yes Pulte is the best builder over there. potomac town center is the name of the retail development next to potomac club...the anchor stores are going to be Macy's and Weigmans..i think its like a Harris Teeter as per a previous post....along with many other stores and resturants...its truely going to be a very nice community . Congratulations on the new home i know you will enjoy it .

Default Potomac Club

My wife and I bought a RYAN home in Potomac Club. We've definitly had our fair share of horror stories, but, in general, Potomac Club is awesome and it's only going to get better. There is immediate access to I-95 regular/HOV lanes. Your about 10 miles away from the Springfield Metro. The new WEGMANS that is going in is going to be awesome! Personally, I like the Ryan Homes the best...they are more asthetically pleasing to the eyes (opinion) on the front. The decks are almost double the size of M/I and Pulte. I don't like the stacked condos by any builder unless you like to climb stairs...they look neat but to actually live in it and have to get moved in, it seems to me it would be a pain.

Woodbridge in general is nice....just about every store imaginable is out here and more being built. I don't have kids yet so I can't really comment on the schools. And as for a commute, well, it's Northern Virginia close to DC so you know it's going to be congested.

You can view our Ryan Home (Inglewood) here: Our Inglewood at Potomac Club

mklepac, very nice! What kitchen cabinet and countertop did u choose? I think I am going to go with the Maple cabinet w/chocolate glaze but I am unsure about the countertop. I like yours
